Please call the WMG Royalties Hotline at 877-343-7784 or send an email with your questions to RoyaltyQuestions@WMG.com. In order to help us access your account information quickly, please be ready to provide the vendor and contract numbers that appear at the top of your royalty statement.
Please call the WMG Royalties Hotline at 877-343-7784 or send an email to RoyaltyQuestions@WMG.com. Please be prepared to provide us with any supporting documentation (such as a recording agreement or a letter of direction) you may have, to help us research your claim.
The recording (or other) agreement states our obligation to pay you royalties and the frequency you will receive statements. In most instances, we account on a quarterly or half-yearly basis, and we send out statements between 45 and 90 days after the end of each accounting period.
It may take up to two days for your royalty statement to appear in the Portal. If you do not see your statement in the Portal within 3 business days after your statement due date, please call the WMG Royalties Hotline at 877-343-7784 or send an email to PortalUserSupport@wmg.com. In order to help us access your account information quickly, please be ready to provide the vendor and contract numbers that appear at the top of your royalty statement.
There are a number of reasons why we place accounts on hold occasionally, including without limitation the following: we are missing paperwork related to your account; there are pending legal issues that implicate your account; we do not have a current address for you; we do not have a current completed and signed Tax form from you; or we have received a Tax Levy from a federal, state or local tax agency instructing us to pay any royalties due to the agency concerned. To find out why your account is on hold, please call the WMG Royalties Hotline at 877-343-7784 or send an email to RoyaltyQuestions@WMG.com. In order to help us access your account information quickly, please be ready to provide the vendor and contract numbers that appear at the top of your royalty statement.
No. Once you successfully register to receive access to the Portal, we will post your royalty statements to your account in the Portal, where you will be able to access them and then download them to your computer or other connected device.
In order for us to change the vendor on a royalty account to the beneficiary of a deceased royalty payee, we need a copy of the death certificate and copies of the deceased royalty payee’s estate documents that identify the royalty payee’s beneficiaries to start. Once we receive those documents, we may need you to provide other, additional estate-related documents and information, as the necessary documents can vary from case-to–case. If you call the WMG Royalties Hotline at 877-343-7784 or email us at RoyaltyQuestions@WMG.com, we will work with you to identify the documents you will need to provide and then update the vendor on the account(s) concerned.
Please fill out: (1) a Change of Address Form, and (2) a W-9 Tax Form (US individuals and business entities), a W8-BEN Tax Form (non-US individuals), or a W8-BEN-E (non-US business entities). Then send those completed forms to us via email to RoyaltyQuestions@WMG.com or via regular mail at the following address: Warner Music Group, Center of Excellence for U.S. Shared Services, ATTN: Inquiries Team — 511 Union Street, Suite 1200, Nashville, TN 37219. Instructions for the W9 can be found here, instructions for the W8BEN can be found here, and instructions for the W8BEN-E can be found here. These instructions should help you determine which form you need to complete and submit. If you have further questions about which form you should complete, you should consult with your tax advisor.
In order to change the payee on your account, the original contracting party or parties associated with your account must authorize the change. Typically, this authorization is provided in the form of a “letter of direction” signed by the original contracting party or parties to the original contract (other than the WMG label concerned). This letter should specify the new payee and contain our standard indemnification and non-beneficiary language.
The new payee will also need to provide us with a completed and signed W-9 Tax Form (if the new payee is a U.S. person), W8-BEN Tax Form (if the new payee is a non-U.S. individual), or W8-BEN-E Tax Form (if the new payee is a non-U.S. entity). Instructions for the W9 may be found here, instructions for the W8BEN can be found here, and instructions for the W8BEN-E can be found here. These instructions should help you determine which form you need to complete and submit. If you have further questions about which form you should complete, consult your tax advisor.
Please send the completed and signed letter of direction and tax form to us via email at RoyaltyQuestions@WMG.com or via regular mail at: Warner Music Group, Center of Excellence for U.S. Shared Services, ATTN: Inquiries Team — 511 Union Street, Suite 1200, Nashville, TN 37219. If you have additional questions or need additional assistance, please call the WMG Royalties Hotline at 877-343-7784. We would be happy to review your draft letter of direction before you sign it and return it to us, to make sure that you have prepared it correctly.
